When you create an account, we collect your email address and profile information provided via Clerk authentication. When you use our Job Map, Astro Analysis, or Chat features, we store the data necessary to provide those services (e.g., saved jobs, astro session results, credit balance).

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalise our services
• Process payments via Polar.sh
• Send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, account alerts)
• Improve and analyse our platform using PostHog analytics

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on a secure cloud provider. We use Arcjet for bot detection and rate limiting. Passwords are managed exclusively by Clerk — we never store them directly.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication & user management
• Polar.sh — payment processing
• Google Gemini — AI-powered analysis features
• PostHog — product analytics (anonymised)

Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics cookies from PostHog may be set; you can opt out via our cookie banner if present.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, and port your data.
